Perfect... What a session. I got to the beach mid-afternoon and found a few people getting changed to go surfing. I rigged up super-quick and managed to get rigged, changed an in the water before they did! Mind you, the 18 knot NNW wind wasn't exactly producing epic surf conditions so they probably weren't in much of a hurry.

I jumped straight on my board and jumped off the first 4 or 5 waves, getting higher off each wave. Perfectly powered up, blasting along in the sunshine. Everything was just perfect. The waves weren't too big, but still produced some lovely ramps to jump off, the surfers made perfect gybe markers on the inside and also someone to show off to. The wind was a constant 18 knots the whole time and I had a perfect 3 hours or so blasting along on my own.

The wind started dropping a little towards the end, but I was about to go anyway. Derek was just about to set up to go kite-surfing as I left.

I won't give it five stars as I didn't really go for anything new, but did get lots of jumping practice. And also because I was out on my own.
